Charles Kent Gillihan age 81 of Hardin, KY passed away peacefully with family at his side on March 19, 2018.

He will be remembered for his love of family, pride in his Native American heritage and by the beautiful cedar flutes he made. He loved nature and the outdoors. Charles was a Navy veteran and retired from Atochem of Calvert City.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gillihan, Hardin, KY; sons, Christopher (Donna) Gillihan, Paducah, KY and Stephen ( Diana) Gillihan, Altus, OK; daughter, Kelly (Kelly) Park, Benton, KY; step-daughters, Julie (Brad) McKendree, Hardin, KY; Sandie (Frank) Allbritten Naples, FL; Wendy (Jerry) Sublette, Gilbertsville, KY; grandchildren, Cory (Katie) Gillihan, Pittsburgh,PA; Nolan (Marissa) Park, Morris, IL; Grant Park, Louisville, KY; Justin (Melissa) McKendree, Hardin, KY; Katie (Nick)
Tomaszewski, Hopkinsville, KY; Cayla Sublette, Murray, KY; great grandchildren,
Zachary McKendree and Lillian Collins; sister, Connie Best, Paducah, KY.

Mr. Gillihan was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Lorena Draffen Gillihan and brother, James Gillihan.

Cremation has been chosen by Charles and a Celebration of Life service will be announced at a date yet to be determined.

Arrangements are under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY.
