Barbara Evelyn Thatch

Barbara Evelyn Thatch, 78 of Salem, KY passed peacefully into heaven on April 22, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah, KY. Barbara was a homemaker who loved her family more than life itself.

She is survived by her three children, Tommy (Jill) Croft of Salem; Patty (Jeff) McGrew of Smithland and Sharon (Randy) Crouch of Salem; step-children, Sharon (Randal) Sorg of Powhatan, AR; Sheila Hancock of Oxley, MO; Cindy (Donald) Nickles of Clever, MO and Jonathon (Karen) Thatch of Pocahontas, AR; five grandchildren, Colton McGrew of Nashville, TN; Jantzon (Ally) Croft of Berea, KY; Masa (Taylor) Champion of Smithland, KY; Clay Croft of Madisonville, KY and Audrey Croft of Richmond of Richmond, KY. She is also survived by 27 step-grandchildren and a very special nephew Donnie (Cindy) Watson of Oakland City, IN and several precious great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, John Thatch; her parents, Trice and Ruth Tinsley; brothers, Jimmy (Linnie) Tinsley and Doug; sister, Shirley (Pete) Watson and nieces, Debbie Harris and Wendy Tinsley.

A joint graveside funeral service honoring Barbara and John Thatch will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Good Hope Cemetery.
