Charles "Butch" Arthur Tinsley

Charles “Butch” Arthur Tinsley, Jr. age 75 of Marion, KY passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at University Hospital, Louisville, KY.

He was an owner and operator of Tinsley Brothers Logging, member of the Marion VFW, and member of Glendale Baptist Church. Butch was a VietNam veteran having been awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by daughters, Julia Tinsley and Mary Lee Tinsley, both of Marion,KY;

brothers, Michael Tinsley, Tysons Corner, VA; Rocky Tinsley and Steve Tinsley, both of Marion, KY; sisters, Barbara Riley, Nora Jane Belt and Maggie Marie Redd, all of Marion, KY; several nieces and nephews; and a host of many children to whom he was known as Papaw.

Butch was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Tinsley; parents, Charles and Virginia Turner Tinsley; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2 PM at Myers Funeral Home with burial in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday between 5 and 8 PM and on Tuesday beginning at 9 AM.
