Dale Johnson Phelps

Dale Johnson Phelps age 79 of Fredonia, KY passed away October 24, 2023 at the Caldwell County Medical Center.

He had retired from the Department of Agriculture after 25 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Dale enjoyed riding his ATV and took pride in gardening and his greatest satisfaction was sharing his harvest with many friends and family. In addition, he loved cooking and barbecuing.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Phelps, Fredonia, KY; son, David (Becky) Phelps, Mayfield, KY and daughter, Renee (Asa) Agin, Kuttawa, KY; sisters, Janice Rusting, Fredonia, KY; Teresa Meadows, Princeton, KY; Ellen Griffin, Arab, AL; brothers, Barry Phelps, Roger Phelps, and Duane Phelps, all of Fredonia, KY and Ricky Phelps, Utica, KY; grandchildren, Jordan, Jared and Dylan; great grandchild, Oliver; several nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Johnson and Joanna Trailor Phelps and a sister, Vicky Williams.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY. The family will receive visitors on Friday beginning at 11 AM and continuing until the service at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Asher Cemetery in Caldwell County.
