Dorothy Edna Janus

Dorothy “Dottie” Edna Janus, age 76, of Portage, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was born on May 15, 1938, in Londonderry Township, PA to Harry and Eliza (Hutzell) Ernst, who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her daughters: Jayne (Dan) Janus Bey of Portage, June (Terry) Janus Smith of Portage and Joyce (Ed Beauregard) Janus of SC, grandchildren: Joshua (Becky) Boyd of NV, Aaron (Mandi) Fletcher of CA, Jacob Boyd of IN, Adam (Kristina) Fletcher of IN, Sabrina (Brady) Fletcher Harbin of SC, Jared Smith, IN, Janae Smith of  IN, Dakota Janus of IN, Austin Janus of KY, twelve great-grandchildren, brother; Walter Ernst, half-brother Raymond Martin and lifelong friend Lorna Delorme. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Ronald Janus, son John Janus, grandson Christopher Janus and grand-daughter Rachel Fletcher. Dorothy enjoyed attending Central Church of God in Portage, singing, caring for others, vacationing with her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She owned and operated businesses including:  Mobile Home Furnace Supply, Shady Side Mobile Home Park and Hair Works. No Visitation with burial in Crayne Cemetery at a later date.
