Douglas E. McKinney

Mr. Douglas E. McKinney age 78 of Joy, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord January 1, 2020 at his residence. He was a member of The Potter’s House in Smithland, Kentucky and was a retired coal miner.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorain Sexton McKinney Joy, KY; a son, Mitchell McKinney, Joy, KY; a daughter, Angela McKinney (Ronnie) Adams, Marion, KY; two granddaughters, Abby Adams (Michael) Middleton, Mt. Vernon, IN and Olivia Adams (Nicholas) Logsdon, LaCenter, KY; 5 great grandchildren, Easton, Nyxxan, Dawsyn, Chandler and Austin; three brothers, Garry McKinney, Marion, KY; Donnie McKinney, Henderson, KY and Larry McKinney, Marion, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Bradley and Pauline Croft McKinney and a brother, Jimmie Perry McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday January 6, 2020 at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with Pastor Chris McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery, Salem, KY. Friends may call at Myers Funeral Home Monday beginning at  11 AM and continuing up until the time of the service.
