Dr. Arthur Gene Kupisch

Dr. Arthur Gene “Art” Kupisch   age 70 of Marion, Kentucky passed away at his home Tuesday, February 21. Dr. Kupisch  served in the United States Navy Aviation Reconnaissance.  Following  his service in the Navy, he received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master’s Degree from Indiana University at Terre Haute, IN and a Doctorate in Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.  He was employed as a teacher in Mattoon, IL; a director of special education, Valparaiso, IN  and  superintendent of schools in Cannelton, IN, Elwood, IN and Hopkinsville, KY.  Prior to his retirement, Dr. Kupisch  was assistant superintendent of Crittenden County Schools in Marion, KY. Dr. Kupisch is survived by his wife, Linda Brizendine Kupisch, Marion, KY; a son, Koy Kupisch, Springfield, IL; stepsons, John Conrad, Columbia, SC and Lee Conrad, Hopkinsville, Ky and stepdaughter, Marjorie Conrad, Denver, CO; a grandson, Kyle Kupisch, Springfiled, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Bernardini Kupisch.
