Floyd Wheeler Obituary

Floyd Moore (Rip) Wheeler age 89 of Marion, Kentucky passed away at his home Friday  June 13, 2014. Mr. Wheeler had retired as the First District Regional Director of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. He was a member of the Bigham Lodge F & AM # 256, played semi-pro baseball in Fredonia, KY (1940-1942). He was a World War II Army veteran having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann King Wheeler, Marion, KY; sons, Floyd Clark Wheeler, II, Hopkinsville, KY and Robert Michael Wheeler, Marion, KY; daughters, Rebecca Lewzader Duda, Gilbertsville, KY; Patti Lou Peek, Port Charlotte, FL and Tiffany Elizabeth Stewart, Marion, KY; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd C. and Roberta Moore Wheeler, and brother, Robert M. Wheeler. Funeral services will be private and are under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY.
