Frankie “Frank” Jr. Catilla age 89 of Marion, KY passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY.
Mr. Catilla was a devoted Christian and member of New Union Baptist Church.
He served his God and country as a United States Navy veteran,retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was well known as a painter for over 50 years.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon (Bennett) Smith, Marion, KY and Diane (Jeff) Williams, Alabama; sister, Dorothy Tabor, Calvert City, KY and brother, Don Catilla, Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Summer Smith, Brent Thurman, Heather Catilla, Brittany Mitchell, Breann Lewis, and Trent Catilla; nine great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Elizabeth Catilla; parents, George and Aither Day Catilla and son, Richard Catilla.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 1 PM at Myers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Friends may visit at Myers Funeral Home on Saturday between 5 and 8 PM, and on Sunday beginning at 8 AM and continuing until the service at 1 PM.
