George Bevan Sutton

George Bevan Sutton, Jr. age 81, of Marion, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at approximately 12:17 AM at his home in Marion, Kentucky surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife Diane (nee Shupe) and they celebrated their 58th anniversary on November 15, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 2, 1944.
George was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Marion, Kentucky. He was a retired Commercial Lender and he retired from the Marines after 25 years as a Master Gunnery Sergeant E-9. He was a long standing member of the Lindenwold Moose Lodge, in New Jersey,
for over 40 years. He was predeceased by his parents George B. Sutton, Sr. and Helen Marie (nee Royston). He is survived by his children Deborah Lynn Botta (John), Denise Marie Sutton-Parkin (Michael) and Tracy Carole Sutton, his grandchildren Nicolas James Sutton (Megan), Rebecca Lee Mulford (Corey), Brianna Marie Parkin, Sarah Elizabeth Banks, Emily Anne Gebby (Logan), Olivia Rose Simon, Brennan Ryleigh Decker (Caleb), and great-grandchildren, Landon Ryan Sutton, Savannah Michelle Sutton, Kandice Eileen Helvitson, Kourtlyn Elizabeth McNally, Jade Marion Mulford, Theodore Rolison Banks IV, Nash Grayson Gebby, Onyx Michael Mulford, Thomas Oliver Banks, Everlyn Faye Decker and Colter James Decker. Surviving siblings, Carole Lee Monahan (James), Beverly Dawn Fulmer (Dennis), Susan Arlene Coe (Robert) and Donald Augustus Sutton (Tanya) and his extended family, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance on Saturday April 25th, 2026 from 12 PM - 1 PM at St. William Catholic Church, 860 S. Main Street Marion, KY 42064 followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 PM with Military Honors following the service.
