James Robert Blackburn

James Robert Blackburn age 85 of Sturgis, KY passed away at his home Wednesday July 13, 2016. Prior to retirement, he had worked in construction management. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clay, lifetime member of VFW and a member of Jachin Lodge # 739 F & AM, Clay, KY. He served as a Sgt. in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Blackburn and wife, Iva Nell Belt Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn is survived by his son, Roger (Gail) Dailey, Owensville, IN and granddaughter Kalea Garrett; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 2 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Clay, KY.
