James Robert "Jimmy" Brown Jr.

James R. “Jimmy” Brown, Jr. age 81 of Marion, Kentucky passed away Monday May 2, 2016 at his home. He retired as County Executive Director of the ASCS, USDA. He was a member of Sugar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Gladys Parmley Brown, Marion, KY; son, V. Aaron (Kelly) Brown, Owensboro, KY; daughter, Becky (Daniel) McKinzie, Marion, KY;  grandsons, Austin (Brittany) Brown, Paducah, KY and Ian McKinzie, Marion, KY; granddaughters, Caitlyn Chandler (Daniel) Epley, Marion, KY; Hannah Brown, Owensboro, KY and Chloe McKinzie, Marion, KY; great granddaughter, Avery Epley, Marion, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Bertha Mae Lamb Brown, Sr.; his first wife, Patsy Nunn Brown; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 5, 2016 at 1 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Myers Funeral Home Wednesday, May 4, 2016 between the hours of 5 and 8 PM.
