James Ray Hunter

James Ray Hunter age 70 of Marion, KY passed away July 26, 2023 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center Hospital in Nashville, TN.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

James is survived by his wife, Tresa Hunter, Marion, KY; mother, Betty Hunter, Marion, KY; children, Andrea Shemwell, Henderson, KY; Ashley Soriano,Paducah, KY and Brian (Tiffany) Shemwell, Paducah, KY; brother, William (Terri) Hunter, Paducah, KY; sisters, Betty Susie Deatherage, Salem, KY and Lisa (Max) Stone, Marion, KY; grandchildren, Carver Bundren, Keaton Bundren, Sy Soriano, Reese Soriano, Arya Shemwell and Meryn Shemwell; niece, Amanda Hunter, nephews, Jimmy Deatherage, Nathan Stallions, James Evan Stone and Grant Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Harrison (Dag) Hunter.

Funeral services will be held Sunday July 30, 2023 at 4 PM at Myers Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Wring officiating. Friends may visit on Sunday beginning at 2 PM and continuing until the funeral at 4.
