Johnie Waymon Thatch passed from this world on December 5, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, Ky. John was born on April 17, 1951 to Ralph and Salie (lorine) Thatch. He is one of 13 siblings, Betty, Willie, baby Thatch, Ralph, Ada,Hattie, Goldie, Thomas, Liz, Robin, Allen and Sherry.
John married Della in 1968, they had four children : Sharon, Sheila, Cindy and Jonathon. They divorced and he moved to Kentucky, where he met and married Barbara Tinsley Croft on August 5, 1994. Barbara brought 3 children into the family Tommy, Patty, and Sharon.
John worked at a sawmill all his life. When he retired he enjoyed driving the backroads with Barbara and spending time with family. He enjoyed putting puzzles together watching movies, and playing aggravation marbles. John devoted his life to taking care of Barbara.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Thatch and Lorine Johnson. Brothers: Allen Thatch, Thomas Thatch, Junior Russel, Cleveland Hancock, Bob Harmon, Wilson Fry
Sisters: Goldie Thatch, Willie Fry, Liz Fry, Judy Smith
Nephew: Jeff Hancock Great Grandbabies: Baby Wallace, Emett Wallace
He is survived by his Wife of 29 years Barbara Thatch of Lola, Ky. His siblings

He is also survived by 27 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren
John’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be a memorial at a later date.
