Lowell Nelson Hughes

Nelson Hughes age 70 of Marion passed away Tuesday January 22 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mr. Hughes was a co-founder and former co-owner of Par 4 Plastics, a veteran of the Unites States Navy and member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Hughes, Marion, KY; a son, Ricky Nelson Hughes, Marion, KY; 2 brothers, Denton Hughes, Tampa, FL and Doug Hughes, Ashburn, GA; sister-in-law, Brenda Hughes, Marion, KY; granddaughter, AshLyn Shea Hughes, Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Cloyce Stephenson Hughes, a brother Ronnie “Door Knob” Hughes and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with Bro. Marty Brown officiating . Burial will follow  in the Mapleview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday between the hours of 5 and 8 pm, and beginning at 9 am up until the time of the service.
