Mary Jim Alvis

Mary J. Alvis, age 100 of Marion, KY  died Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services, Salem, KY. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Alvis was preceeded in death by her parents, James and Flossie Farmer Hughes; Husband, William Alvis; sons, Gene Paul Alvis and Donald Ray Alvis; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by two sons: James Alvis, Calvert City, KY and George Alvis, Uniontown, KY; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday June 25, 2012 at 1 PM at  Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY.  The family will receive visitors on Monday beginning at 11 AM and continuing until the time of the service at 1 PM. Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery.   Arrangements: Visitation - Monday June 25, 2012 from 11 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m.
