Mary LaVerne James

Laverne James age 72 of Marion, KY passed away Monday November 4, 2013 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. James was a homemaker and member of Marion Second Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Elvis James, Marion, KY; 2 daughters, Rosa King and Mary LaDone James both of Marion, KY; 2 sons, Wayne James and Ronald James, both of Marion, KY; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Rosa Duvall Travis and three brothers. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Myers Funeral Home, Wednesday between the hours of 6 and 8 PM, and Thursday beginning at 9 AM up until the time of the  service.
