Obituary

Mary Frances Wigginton, age 86, of Marion, Kentucky, passed away August 2, 2023 at Crittenden Community Hospital. She was born October 5, 1936, to Ramer and Tiny Lovelace Dinwiddie in Humboldt, Tennessee. Mary Frances was a member of Marion Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a registered nurse and enjoyed golf, tennis, and boating. At home, she loved to cook and bake for friends and family and enjoyed decorating. Together, she and husband David loved to travel, visiting all over the United States including Hawaii, as well as more than 10 countries, including Germany, Africa, Egypt, Israel, and Italy. Mary Frances is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Wigginton, of Marion; daughters Pam (Rickey) Gibson of Columbus, Georgia; Donna (Bob) Price of Panama City Beach, Florida; Rebecca (Spike) Phillips of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Cindy (Gary) Cruce of Marion; Mindy (Rob) Trapp of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Rhonda Wigginton of Fredonia, Kentucky; Deana (Ronnie) Nix of Marion; grandchildren, Stephanie (Matthew), Laurie (Chris), Zachary (Kathleen), Bobby (Mary), Jamie (Joe), Courtney (Chris), Lauren (Derrik), Morgan, Ford, Tucker, Brennan, Evan (Magan), Chris (Elena), Leigh Ann (Travis), Talley (Jon Ryan) and Tanner (Brooklyn); great-grandchildren, Harper, Coulden, Daly, Harrison, Hudson, Ella Kay, Isaiah, Arianna, Allan, Warner, Wyatt, Whitman, Reagan, McGuire, Brooks, Richard, Jon Ross, Greer, Bakerlynn, and Blair; sister Beverly (Bob) Bunn of Jacksonville, Florida; nieces Sheri Bunn and Jennifer (Brad) Smith; and sister-cousin Rose Mary (Joe) Robinson of Bolivar, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramer Dinwiddie and Tiny Bennett, stepfather William (Bill) Bennett, and first husband, James (Buddy) Walding. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Myers Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. and a viewing Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Marion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery. Myers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mary Frances Wigginton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marion Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
