Richard Allen Anderson

Richard (Dick) Allen Anderson age 65 of Marion, KY died March 9 at Crittenden Health  Systems. Mr. Anderson was a retired coal and fluorspar miner, a Marine who served in the Vietnam War along with being a recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Higgins Anderson, Marion, KY; three sons, Kevin Anderson, Verona, VA; Jeffrey Scott Anderson, Newburgh, IN and Christopher Anderson, Hudson, FL; two brothers, Fred Anderson, Batavia, IL and Donnie Anderson, Rosiclare, IL; one sister, Judy Blakely, Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Nancy Morrow Anderson and stepson, John Scott Hardin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13 at 1 P.M. at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rosebud Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors on Tuesday beginning at 11 A.M. and continuing until the time of the service at Myers Funeral Home.   Arrangements: Visitation from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
