Robert Marshall Jenkins

Robert Marshall Jenkins age 90 of Marion, KY passed away July 14, 2019 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center. Robert graduated from Crittenden County High School in 1946. He attended Auburn University and was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He like to travel and his career with the United States Department of Agriculture sent him to work all over the United States. Robert often said that he had visited every county in Kentucky. Robert returned to Marion when he retired from the USDA and enjoyed restoring his parent’s home on East Depot Street. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church Mr. Jenkins is survived by cousins: Jerry Tooley, Henderson, KY and Linda Tabor, Marion, KY and special friend and caregiver, Velda Damron, Marion, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert  Marcellas and Fannie Kirk Jenkins. Funeral services will be held at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY at 2 PM Thursday, July 18, 2019 with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday beginning at 10 AM and continuing until the time of the service at Myers Funeral Home.
